Gimli Gazette, Issue Number Seventy-Eight

Gimli Gazette, Issue Number Seventy-Eight

Hello my friends, and welcome to another installment of the Gimli Gazette, where I speak truth to power and transform the world through my humble words.

I begin this posting with a question from a young fan.  She writes, “I was wondering if you and Tater Tot are having a weight-loss challenge.  I saw Tater running his laps.”

Yes, my little friend, Tater Tot could drop a few pounds.  Alas, there is no competition, since I maintain my perfect weight and figure at all times.  Tater and I are good friends, so we feel no need to compete with one another.

I have been working with dear Tater on many issues.  He first came to the ranch in a bit of pain.  As I mentioned in my last posting (#77), just being in my presence has had a healing impact on Tater’s overall health.  I may put the ranch vet (Dr. Kami) out of business if word gets out about my healing powers!  The video posted on the MSR Facebook page of Tater running around in the round pen is a testament to my amazing abilities.

I now have some other behavioral issues to work on with Tater.  He is not a big fan of being washed.  He has been known to develop a bit of an attitude when water is applied to his back.  In addition, he has a tendency to nip if someone triggers him in any way.  These habits will take a little time for me to correct, but I am confident (as his therapist) that he will be conformed to my high standards of conduct soon.

Some of you have commented on the new circular fans that have been installed in the horses’ paddocks (Thank you Shelter Cove’s VBS Program!).  It feels great and keeps the bugs away.  It blows my mane across my face to give me that Fabio Look that may make the cover of my future autobiography.  I have asked Miss Mo and Mr. John to increase my grooming times each week in order to maintain this radiant glow.

Next Saturday (August 17th) from 10am to 2pm is our annual Heirloom Tomato Tasting Event.  There will be an instructional garden talk by Miss Mo, and lots of tomatoes to sample and enjoy.  Of course, the real reason most folks come out to this event is to spend more time with Yours Truly.  I will waive my usual sitting fee and grant free selfies to anyone who swings by my paddock.

Well that does it for this edition of my blog.  I hope to see many of you next week.  Until then, keep cool and dream of horses!

Happy Trails,

Gimli     August 10, 2024
