Gimli Gazette, Number Ninety-Eight

Gimli Gazette, Number Ninety-Eight

Hello my friends, and welcome to another edition of the Gimli Gazette, where I take time from my busy schedule to share my heart with those seeking equine wisdom to get them through the day.  All of this comes from my paddock to your screen with the touch of a button.

I received three questions from a young girl that I found to be quite enjoyable.  Her first inquiry is, “Do you like Jireh?”  Indeed I do!  The old boy is really growing on me.  We have our moments when our play turns into a little bit of brawling, but it is all in good fun.  Since our paddocks are right next to each other, we can chat for hours at a time.  We are becoming good friends.

Her next question is, “How old are you?”  Thank you for asking.  I am twenty-one years old, which puts me in the prime of my life.  Humans and horses continually tell me how good I look for my age.  This is reflected in my active modeling career, where I can barely keep up with all the requests for photo shoots.  I am one of those horses who just keeps getting better with age!

Her final question is, “Are you married to Ladyhawke?”  Alas, Hawke and I have decided to keep our romance on the back burner, so as not to take time away from being with the children at the ranch.  While we both respect the institution of marriage, we think that it is best to focus on serving at the ranch than being with each other.  Besides, my agent thinks that it is best that I remain single, so that other mares throughout the world can maintain the fantasy that I may be available for them one day.  Perhaps this is the reason that paperback romance novel cover star Fabio never married??!  (We both have great hair!)  It is hard to dream of the perfect spouse if they are married to another.  Mares around the world go to sleep each night with just one thought — perhaps one day Gimli will be mine!

Well that’s all for this posting.  Sessions are going great this year.  I hope you all stay cool this summer.

Happy Trails,

Gimli     June 24, 2026
