Hello my friends, and welcome to another exciting edition of the Gimli Gazette, where readers come seeking equine insight and comfort that flows freely from my heart to yours.
I am still recovering from Saturday’s Ranch Family Dinner. It was a joy to see many of my favorite humans come to the ranch for food, fun, and fellowship. The children had an especially good time, as there were games and contests to keep them busy. This was followed by a potluck meal, a dramatic presentation, smores, prizes, and the annual Mercy Spring Ranch video of the year’s sessions.
There were so many high points that I cannot list them all. Everywhere I looked I saw minions and bananas running around the ranch. They all converged at the arena with the ranch animals for an amazing demonstration of movement and dance. My own choreography was nothing short of spectacular. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
I could not help but notice during the video that one horse in particular had the most photos chosen for the final edit. This horse showed incredible poise and stature in every shot. I am too humble to say who it was; but if you want to mention his name in the comments below (on Facebook), I will not stop you. I have attached a sample photo below of the winner, in case you were not keeping count.
Many thanks to all the staff and volunteers who helped to make this day so special for everyone. I look forward to this dinner every year. Not only do I get extra pampering (and extra accessories to wear), but I get to meet new fans and family members. It truly was a blessing.
Happy Trails,
Gimli October 20, 2025
