Gimli Gazette, Number Ninety

Gimli Gazette, Number Ninety

Hello my friends, and welcome to another inspiring installment of the Gimli Gazette, where readers from all around the world gather to discover new truths that have eluded them for so long.  Come sit at my hooves, and learn from me.

We had a group of visitors at the ranch last week (see the picture below).  Some of our ranch volunteers are in a book group.  They were reading REBECCA OF SUNNYBROOK FARM, and thought that the discussion would go better in a more rural setting.  Naturally they thought of Mercy Spring Ranch, so they dressed the part and came ready to chat.

I cannot help but think that they also wanted to have the discussion in my presence, so that my insights could be part of the conversation.  Many participants noticed the qualitative difference in the discussion.  Some even felt an increase in their IQ as a result of being near my paddock.

You may wonder why I am not in the picture below.  Alas, the group could not afford my sitting fee.  As a professional equine model, I cannot go around appearing in any old photo shoot without proper compensation.  If the group saves their bitcoin, they may be able to afford a future picture with yours truly.

I almost made a daring escape from the arena last week.  One of the volunteers closed the arena gate, but she failed to lock it.  Seeing this as an opportunity for exploration, I wandered over to the latch and opened it.  I was about to make my way to a stash of food when Miss Mo saw me and gave me THE LOOK!  I wisely returned to the arena and continued my daily meditations.

This Friday is a special day.  Mr. John is having his annual birthday celebration.  I have made lots of progress working with him over the years, and my training of Mr. John shows in his actions on the ranch.  Join me in wishing John a Happy Birthday!

Well that’s all for this posting.  The days are getting cooler, so I eagerly await the installation of my personal hot tub to get me through these colder nights.  This will go next to the spa and pickleball court which I have also requested from the MSR Board.

Happy Trails,

Gimli  October 28, 2025
