Hello my friends, and welcome to another exciting edition of the Gimli Gazette, where I take a break from my busy schedule to inspire children and adults all over the world with my words of wisdom and encouragement.
As you can see from the profile picture, I am posting my ninety-ninth edition of the Gimli Gazette. For my one hundredth posting next time, I will reflect on my blog over the years, and share my perspective on how these writings have changed the world and made it a much better place.
For today’s posting, I have two questions from a young woman in the current session. She writes, “Do you ever feel that Jireh is stealing your spotlight?” Not at all. In fact, I don’t think that the spotlight has found him even once. When you have such great talent residing in my paddock, there is no need to go looking elsewhere. Jireh is a promising student of mine, but he is a long way from drawing any of my fan base away from the love of their lives!
She then requests, “Could you please ask Jireh how he felt about his first riding session?” I did not even have to ask him! When he returned to his paddock (which is right next to mine), he could not contain his excitement and wanted to tell me EVERYTHING about the session. He said that he “fell in love” with his rider. She seemed very confident and communicated well with him. They made their way around the round pen like two pros. I was next door in the arena, so I got to see everything as it happened.
As the questioner stated, this was Jireh’s first time being ridden in a session. He was a little nervous, so I spent some time with him beforehand giving him a few tips on how to connect with his rider. Both rider and horse made good use of their time together. I am hoping that they will be able to ride again together in the future. It was a great session!
Well that’s all for this posting. I need to go over my archives of my past Gimli Gazettes for material to use in the one hundredth edition. I know that you are all excited with me as I prepare for this epic posting.
Happy Trails,
Gimli July 11, 2026
